A Little Story About High Woodwinds.

Different web sites offer to buy used clarinets. Woodwinds are the instruments where flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and saxophone are included in. They are called woodwinds because in the Middle Ages when these instruments were manufactured people made them from wood. Today such instruments are not produced this way anymore but the timber is used sometimes as an element equally with other stuff. Labial and lingual are the versions of the woodwind instruments after the method of the air blowing in them. There is a lateral hole in the head of the labial musical instrument where the air is blown. Sharp border of the opening separates the air stream. The music emerges due to the vibration of air stream inside the tube. Together with other instruments flute is related to this type too. In lingual instruments the air is injected through the reed. Clarinet and saxophone are included to this group of musical instruments. On the top of a lingual woodwind the reed is situated. It creates the vibration of the air flow in the tube. The reeds may be of two types: single and double. A single reed looks like a small cane blade and its function is to close aperture in the mouthpiece of the musical instrument and to leave there a narrow slit. Resonance of the reed serves to shut and open the channel in the mouthpiece of the instrument. Two cane blades are compactly connected one with another in double reed. Resonance is made by the current of air that shuts and opens the hole between the blades. Musicians relate oboe and bassoon to these instruments. Clarinet was invented in Nuremberg in the XVIII century. Various musical styles apply clarinet as a solo instrument. Today clarinet is a soloist in various chamber and wind orchestras. Jazz and folk music usually make use of it too. It has a warm and soft sound and presents great opportunities to the artist. In the XX century it has become one of the most demanded musical instruments. The main peculiarity of clarinet is that it has a broad range of moods and emotions that a performer wants to express through it. We may suggest you to get used clarinet. Bassoon is usually applied in symphonic orchestra but also in wind orchestra, like a solo and ensemble instrument. Three clefs are applied to write the music - they are treble, tenor and bass. A unique technique is needed to play bassoon, so only professionals play it.
